Key Responsibilities:- Perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, and suspension alignments.
- Conduct state-required vehicle emission and safety inspections in compliance with local regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently address customer concerns.
- Execute thorough and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all preventive maintenance reports.
- Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations impacting service operations, including hazardous waste disposal and safety protocols.
- Assist with housekeeping duties as directed by management.
- Communicate effectively with the service department regarding vehicle damage or malfunctions.
- Uphold high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization in the workplace.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- This is an entry-level position; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds.
- Capable of working with tools on vehicles elevated above head height.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces as required by vehicle repairs.
- Demonstrated dexterity to effectively use hand tools.
- Ability to stand or walk for the majority of the workday.
- Proficient in driving manual transmission vehicles.
- Maintain a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment.
- Competent in navigating computer systems efficiently.
