We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fleet Mechanic to join our team at UniFirst. As a key member of our Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our fleet vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance on fleet vehicles to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Verify that all vehicles and drivers are properly licensed and meet regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all preventative maintenance is performed when due and that fleet vehicles meet UniFirst standards.
- Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System to track and manage vehicle maintenance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
- High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Associates degree from an accredited technical school and equivalent experience is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record are required.
- Must meet DOT requirements.
- Must be able to perform all vehicle repairs, have diagnostic knowledge with GM drivability, and some diesel experience is highly preferred.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed and perform occasional road calls.
- 3 – 5 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience.
- Proven computer skills and ability to use diagnostic software.
- Ability to lift up to 80lbs.
