Job Title: Carpenter Foreman

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Foreman to join our team at Christman Mid-Atlantic Constructors. As a Carpenter Foreman, you will be responsible for leading a team of carpenters and general trades positions on construction projects in our Knoxville, TN region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform rough and finish carpentry tasks
  • Set case and millwork
  • Experience in architectural doors and hardware
  • Lead a team of carpenters and general trades positions
  • Read blueprints and perform layout work
  • Exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly to move objects
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Travel throughout East Tennessee required on occasion
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five (5) years' carpentry experience
  • Full-time position, more than 40-hours a week
  • May work nights and weekends
  • On occasion, construction may continue around the clock to meet deadlines

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

The majority of work is completed outside at the construction site and in an office trailer where the project is monitored, and daily decisions are made about construction activities. The position is often exposed to sounds and loud noises, such as construction equipment. The job requires the wearing of protective equipment when on the construction site (hardhats, safety glasses, and highly visible clothing). Temperatures and conditions may vary depending on the weather and seasons.
