Job Title: Cook

A Colton's Cook is a key member of our kitchen team, responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of grilled menu items to the highest quality and taste standards. The primary focus is on grilling meats, seafood, vegetables, eggs, and other ingredients according to customer preferences and restaurant recipes.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and prepare the grill station for daily operations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper equipment function.
  • Receive and review food orders to determine the type and quantity of items to be grilled.
  • Operate and monitor the grill to ensure precise cooking temperatures and timing.
  • Grill menu items according to specifications, adjusting cooking times and heat levels as needed.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
  • Coordinate with other kitchen staff members to ensure timely preparation and delivery of grilled items.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Cook preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of grilling techniques, cooking temperatures, and food safety practices.
  • Familiarity with different types of grills, equipment, and grilling tools.
  • Ability to follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot environment.
Professionalism:
  • Neat, clean appearance, practices excellent personal hygiene, speaks in a pleasant tone of voice, and avoids slang terms.
