Key Responsibilities- Clinical Leadership
- Provide clinical guidance and oversight to the medical staff, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals.
- Collaborate with the clinic's interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans for patients, ensuring high-quality care and adherence to evidence-based practices.
- Participate in regular case conferences and clinical meetings to discuss complex cases and develop appropriate interventions.
- Medical Oversight
- Oversee and monitor the clinical activities within the outpatient mental health clinic, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Review and approve clinical policies, protocols, and procedures to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
- Stay updated with the latest research, treatment modalities, and best practices in mental health care, and incorporate them into the clinic's operations.
- Staff Supervision and Development
- Supervise and support the medical staff, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship to ensure their professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with the clinic's administration in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new medical staff members.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, addressing any performance concerns and identifying opportunities for improvement or training.
- Quality Assurance
- Develop and implement quality assurance programs to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical services, ensuring compliance with established standards and benchmarks.
- Analyze patient outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance the quality and effectiveness of care delivery.
- Collaborate with the clinic's quality improvement team to implement evidence-based practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaboration and External Relations
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including community organizations, hospitals, and referral sources, to strengthen partnerships and ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Represent the clinic in relevant professional forums, conferences, and meetings to stay informed about industry trends and foster relationships with key stakeholders.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Psychiatry.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in mental health or psychiatric care.
- Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a supervisory or administrative role.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices, psychiatric medications, and current trends in mental health care.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse group of professionals.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Understanding of and commitment to patient-centered care and cultural sensitivity.
