Swim Instructor

HealthFitness, a leading provider of fitness solutions, is seeking a skilled Swim Instructor to join our team at the Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness Center in Bentonville, AR.

This part-time position involves providing safe and effective swim instruction to adults and children in private or small group lessons. You will design individualized programs to meet the participant's interests, abilities, and goals.

• Plan and organize personal class teaching outlines, methods, and goals that support the general teaching outlines provided by the Aquatics Director and the American Red Cross Swimming Program.
• Enforce pool safety standards and facility operational rules for all individuals using the facilities.
• Establish positive public relations with parents/guardians of class students, helping them recognize and understand swimming developments and achievements.
• Provide for the health and safety of participants, ensuring that all teaching and practice areas are free of hazards and that materials and equipment are safe.
• Perform other duties as needed/required.

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Water Safety Instructor certification from American Red Cross required.
• Adult and pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety & Health Institute required prior to start date.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills, including the ability to motivate others.
• Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands, meet deadlines, and collaborate with all business units.
• Must have a strong swim background.
• Proficiency in all swim strokes.
