Position Summary:

DSJ Global is in search of a seasoned Strategic Sourcing Manager to enhance our team. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in the procurement and management of essential commodities utilized in manufacturing and distribution, with a focus on the foodservice and food production sectors. This role will require close collaboration with Procurement Directors to align sourcing strategies and oversee key commodity categories, supplier initiatives, and procurement methodologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside Procurement Directors to synchronize strategies for sourcing materials, services, and processes in manufacturing and distribution.
  • Manage specific commodity categories, including flour, sugar, fats, chocolate, eggs, starches, and sweeteners.
  • Formulate and execute strategic plans informed by comprehensive data analysis and forecasting.
  • Lead Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for North American procurement in accordance with demand forecasts.
  • Promote sustainable and profitable growth in sales.
  • Support supplier approval processes and contribute to various corporate initiatives.
  • Demonstrate strong business insight, customer orientation, process management, and a results-driven mindset.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in sourcing and managing the specified commodities.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (2-5 years of relevant experience preferred).

Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Expertise in managing supplier relationships and procurement operations.

Compensation:

$115,000-128,000 annual base salary, commensurate with experience.
