About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Psychologist to join our team at Children's Health Council. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional psychological services to children, teens, and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations, including the use of standardized instruments, to identify strengths and challenges in children and young adults.
  • Develop and deliver individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based therapies and interventions, to address a range of mental health concerns.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, therapists, and educators, to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal outcomes.
  • Provide training and education to staff, families, and community members on topics related to child and adolescent mental health, including ADHD, learning differences, anxiety, and depression.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in the field, applying this knowledge to inform clinical decision-making and program development.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an accredited graduate program.
  • Valid California license to practice psychology, with a minimum of three years of post-degree experience in a pediatric clinic, outpatient mental health setting, or school-based environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop effective solutions.
