Job Title: Orthopedic Nurse Specialist

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Nurse Specialist to join our team at Boulder Centre for Orthopedics and Spine. As a key member of our Pre-Operative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients undergoing orthopedic surgery.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and prepare patients for surgery, ensuring they are informed and comfortable throughout the process.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and other measurements to ensure readiness for surgical procedures.
  • Initiate IVs and ensure patients are aware of the procedure and any necessary precautions.
  • Assess patients' post-operative condition and monitor their progress, meeting discharge criteria.
  • Log all findings in patient files and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in Pre-Op/PACU (RN) in an Orthopedic setting preferred.
  • Acute Care experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Education/Certification:

  • Degree in Nursing: Bachelors Preferred
  • Current Colorado Registered Nurse license
  • BCLS & ACLS certification required
