Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist lead teachers with classroom management and activities, ensuring a smooth and productive learning environment.
  • Provide individual attention and support to children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Supervise children during playtime, meals, and nap times, maintaining a safe and healthy atmosphere.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the childcare center, adhering to high standards of hygiene and sanitation.
  • Cover for teachers and staff members during their breaks, maintaining continuity of care and supervision.
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving, promoting healthy eating habits and nutrition.
  • Support children with daily routines, such as diaper changes and toilet training, as needed.
  • Set up and clean up after activities, ensuring materials are ready and the area is tidy.
  • Interact with parents during drop-off and pick-up times, providing updates on their child's day.
  • Assist with organizing and supervising special events, field trips, and other activities, promoting a sense of community and fun.
  • Observe children's behavior and development, reporting any concerns or notable observations to the lead teacher or director.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
Nice to Have
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) certification.
