Position Overview:

Corteva Agriscience is seeking a dedicated Production Technician to contribute to our operations at the production facility. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities associated with plant operations and seasonal field activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize safety as the foremost concern in all operations.
  • Act as a Safety Steward for a designated program.
  • Assist in overseeing the processes of receiving, conditioning, packaging, and harvesting.
  • Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with established Quality Plans.
  • Manage direct materials availability for process orders.
  • Support inventory management for bulk and bagged seed products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the workplace.
  • Ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Provide training to employees on job responsibilities and equipment operation.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to coordinate workflow and resource allocation.
  • Facilitate effective communication within and between shifts.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or commitment to obtain GED within one year of employment.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with tools and equipment.
  • Strong organizational and self-directed skills.
  • Ability to work in diverse environments including field, plant, and warehouse.
  • Capability to work in elevated areas and endure extended periods of standing or sitting.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Availability for overtime and weekend shifts during peak seasons.
  • Team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles such as 5S and Continuous Improvement.
  • Knowledge of agricultural production and plant operations.
  • Familiarity with field equipment.
  • Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Work Environment:
This position requires onsite work five days a week.
