Job Summary

As a Physical Therapist with the Good Samaritan Society, you will play a vital role in helping clients/patients/residents recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities. You will conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease, utilizing tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following established safeguards. You will document client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation, establish therapeutic plans, and modify them as necessary. Additionally, you will educate clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home. You will demonstrate knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related treatments and evaluations relating to the needs of clients/patients/residents, and incorporate current research into daily treatment of clients/patients/residents.

Responsibilities

Conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease
Utilize tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following established safeguards
Document client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation, establish therapeutic plans, and modify them as necessary
Educate clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home
Demonstrate knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related treatments and evaluations relating to the needs of clients/patients/residents

Requirements

Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure
Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist
When applicable, may require valid driver's license
Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment
