We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a CNA, you will provide exceptional care to seniors in various locations within a 150-mile radius. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a not-for-profit organization that has provided over 100 years of housing and services to seniors.

About the Role

This position offers flexible scheduling, mileage reimbursement, and additional pay incentives for weekend and evening shifts. You will be responsible for assisting residents with daily living activities, taking vital signs, and documenting care to enhance their quality of life. Your role will also involve providing housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and obtaining and recording vital signs.
  • Provide psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
  • Transfer, reposition, and walk residents using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment.
  • Complete tasks related to food preparation and dining, while creating a positive dining experience for residents.
  • Document resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred but not required.
  • Minimum age of 16.
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $17.00 - $25.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
