Key Responsibilities- Student Support: Provide one-on-one support to students, implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavioral intervention strategies to promote academic and personal growth.
- Classroom Assistance: Assist classroom teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning atmosphere, implementing curriculum instruction, and monitoring student progress.
- Behavioral Support: Manage student behavior, upholding our organization's philosophy and policies, and collaborating with teachers to ensure consistency and effective interventions.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support and progress monitoring.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student behavior, progress, and interventions, as required by school procedures.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for an associate's degree or higher in education or a related field.
- Credentials: Hold a valid California state driver's license, with the ability to obtain a paraprofessional, paraeducator, teaching assistant, or similar credential.
- Experience: Prior experience working with children, preferably in a special education setting, with a focus on autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and challenging behaviors.
- Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
