Job Description

At LR Palm House LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sushi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality sushi dishes to our discerning guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Sushi Preparation: Prepare sushi rice and execute recipes to ensure consistency and quality.
  2. Sushi Bar Management: Ensure all food is prepared on clean surfaces and with clean utensils, adhering to Nobu and county health department regulations.
  3. Food Quality Control: Ensure food quality meets Palm House standards prior to being served.
  4. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sushi bar team to ensure smooth and efficient service during busy periods.
  5. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Requirements:
  • Culinary Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with a minimum of 4 years in a supervisory role.
  • Culinary Degree: Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work from a standing position for extended periods, lift approximately 40-50 pounds, and perform reaching, stooping, and/or crouching motions repeatedly.
