Job Summary

Hannibal Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled Patient Care Tech to join our team. As a Patient Care Tech, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and support to patients and families, including assisting with daily living activities and providing emotional support.
  • Assist with medical procedures and treatments, such as taking vital signs and administering medications.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Active CNA certification, Medical Assistant associates degree (diploma will be considered), enrolled in an approved nursing program and has or will complete fundamentals of nursing course within 90 days of hire or has documented experience as a nurse assistant or emergency medical technician required.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills, including verbal and written.
  • Ability to communicate within all levels of the organization.
  • Exhibits hospital values in performance of all duties and contact with patients and visitors.
  • Ability to organize and perform multiple assignments and priorities while maintaining quality patient care.
  • Ability to perform basic computer skills efficiently and effectively.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Professional appearance required.
