Shrink Wrap Operations

As a key player in our manufacturing process, you will oversee the execution and delivery of shrink wrap operations in alignment with Johnson Controls' standards, corporate policies, and operational procedures.

Your Responsibilities

  • Utilize your hands-on manufacturing expertise to enhance product quality.
  • Implement cleaning, labeling, pre-inspection, packing, and shrink-wrap techniques across various models, including YX, CYK, YD, NEMA, and seismic.
  • Effectively execute the "Rock and Roll" drying method for diverse models.
  • Operate both manual and semi-automatic power and air tools.
  • Handle propane-based flame shrinking equipment safely.
  • Adhere to safe work practices and conduct thorough visual quality inspections.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Perform daily checks on cranes, forklifts, and other equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure compliance with design intentions.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timely completion of assigned tasks and projects.
  • Stay informed about advancements in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
  • Engage in training programs as either a trainee or trainer as necessary.
  • Promote and practice 5S methodology throughout the facility.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Complete other assigned tasks as required.

What We Seek

  • Collaboration with supervisors and team leads to drive continuous improvement in designated areas.
  • Ability to read and comprehend production AutoCAD 2D drawings, blueprints, work orders, and other documentation.

Physical Requirements

  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Frequent standing and walking, with occasional bending, climbing, and crawling.
  • Regular reaching and grasping, with occasional sitting.

  • Possess a High School Diploma, GED, or relevant certifications.
