Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team on a seasonal basis. As a Seasonal CVICU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Formulate and implement individualized plans of care for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions
  • Conduct cardiac monitoring and identify dysrhythmias, treating accordingly
  • Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret results to inform patient care decisions
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, evaluate, and revise patient care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
  • Delegate tasks to non-licensed staff, ensuring effective and efficient care delivery
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on care and treatment options
  • Facilitate discharge planning and ensure a smooth transition of care
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
