Adjunct Instructor in Speech-Language Pathology

Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified adjunct instructor to teach in our Speech-Language Pathology program. The ideal candidate will have a master's or doctoral degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology, with at least 5 years of clinical experience and expertise in the area to be instructed.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and teach didactic academic courses in the SLP curriculum, including undergraduate prerequisite and graduate courses.
  • Record assessment data regarding student achievement at midterm and end of each semester.
  • Participate in faculty meetings upon request of the SLP Department Chair.

Requirements:

  • Earned master's or doctoral degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology.
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience, including expertise in area to be instructed.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Illinois state speech-language pathology license.

Preferred Qualifications: History of university teaching experience.

Work Hours: Part-time; as needed basis.
