Group Management Services is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in our community facilities. This full-time role involves using eco-friendly cleaning products to ensure all shared and public spaces are well-kept. Responsibilities include preparing vacant units for new residents and assisting maintenance personnel with essential tasks to uphold a safe and pleasant living environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a respectful atmosphere for seniors and individuals with special needs, aligning with our organizational mission and values. Collaborate with community staff to encourage positive interactions among residents, families, and team members.
  • Perform thorough cleaning tasks including disinfecting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces in common areas according to established schedules. Address unscheduled cleaning needs as they arise and manage waste disposal effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness in public restrooms, ensuring they are sanitary and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Prepare vacant apartments for incoming residents by conducting deep cleaning and addressing any maintenance requirements.
  • Execute light maintenance tasks, such as battery replacements, as necessary.
  • Keep outdoor areas free of litter and report any damages or safety concerns to management.
  • Adhere to the policies outlined in the Plant Operations Manual and maintain Safety Data Sheets for all cleaning products, complying with OSHA regulations.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with community staff to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness in a cost-effective manner.
  • Commit to sustainable practices, including energy efficiency and the use of green products whenever feasible.
Work Environment:
  • This position may expose employees to wet or humid conditions, as well as potential hazards from moving mechanical parts and chemical substances. The noise level is typically moderate.
Physical Requirements:
  • Employees must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Regular standing and walking are essential, along with the ability to use hands for handling and reaching.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or GED is required, along with the ability to communicate respectfully with seniors and individuals with special housing needs.
