Job Summary

The Breakfast Attendant is a key member of the Residence Inn Richmond team, responsible for delivering exceptional service to guests in the complimentary breakfast area. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, speed, and accuracy, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide attentive and courteous service to guests, ensuring a positive experience in the breakfast area.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and grooming, adhering to the hotel's uniform and name tag policy.
  • Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
  • Ensure quality control of menus, maintaining cleanliness and appearance standards.
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables/hotel spaces per client request or management instruction.
  • Ensure all service areas are stocked, organized, clean, and neat, with all side work completed each shift.
  • Accommodate special requests made by guests, offering alternatives when necessary.
  • Communicate with all departments regarding in-house VIPs.
  • Support beverage and food service areas as needed, including washing dishes, restocking equipment, and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must meet the legal age to serve alcoholic beverages and satisfactorily pass responsible serving course, such as TIPs, as required by property.
  • Must be able to obtain and provide Food Handlers card as required by city/county/state.
