Regional CDL A Driver

Job Summary:

Akumin is seeking a skilled Regional CDL A Driver to join our team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely movement of tractor trailers configured for mobile medical imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport mobile medical imaging units to various locations
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
  • Set up and take down units, including washing and minor repairs
  • Complete required documentation and reporting
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Valid commercial driver's license in the state of residence and DOT Medical Certificate
  • 1 year of commercial tractor trailer experience and knowledge of FMCSR regulations
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work independently
  • Able to work any schedule, including 2nd and 3rd shifts
  • Local travel required
  • The COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment
  • Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

Physical Demands:

  • Work in a standard office environment
  • May be exposed to strong magnetic fields and environmental hazards
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs
  • See, speak, and hear to communicate with patients
