Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with hemodialysis treatment, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any unusual findings to the nurse supervisor.
- Perform vascular access evaluation, cannulation, and administration of heparin as delegated or allowed by state law.
- Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders and evaluate intradialytic problems, providing intervention as necessary.
- Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner, including vital signs, treatment parameters, and any notable events.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and support.
- Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS)-approved state and/or national certification or High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
- Successful completion of the FMCNA dialysis training program and CPR certification.
