We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Associate to join our team at GovCIO LLC. As a Cyber Security Associate, you will play a critical role in enhancing our organization's security posture by leveraging intelligence reports to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Intelligence Analysis: Utilize intelligence reports to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, applying insights to enhance the organization's security posture.
  • Research and Reporting: Conduct in-depth research on emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, and incorporate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Cybersecurity Tool Management: Monitor and manage key cybersecurity tools, including Tanium, Microsoft Defender, Elixir, and Forescout, to protect the organization's digital infrastructure.
  • Incident Response: Analyze and respond to cybersecurity incidents, documenting findings and implementing remediation strategies.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Produce detailed and accurate reports on security incidents, vulnerability assessments, and overall cybersecurity health.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective implementation of security policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Management: Maintain thorough documentation of security processes, tool configurations, and research findings.
  • Staying Current: Stay current on cybersecurity intelligence, integrating new information into the organization's security operations.
Requirements
  • Education: High School with 3 - 6 years (or commensurate experience)
  • Clearance: Secret
  • Experience: Experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on intelligence analysis, research, and reporting.
  • Skills: Proven experience with Tanium, Microsoft Defender, Elixir, and Forescout. Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Communication: Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports. Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and clear reporting of findings.
