Nurse Supervisor Lead

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Supervisor Lead to join our team at the State of Louisiana. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing first-line supervision of nursing services in a clinical setting.

**Responsibilities**
  • Provide first-line supervision of nursing services in a clinical setting
  • Assist in maintaining patient care standards by supervising and directing activities of subordinate nurses
  • Receives physicians' instructions regarding patient care and ensures that orders are transmitted to other units as needed
  • Makes regular patient rounds to observe and assess patients' physical conditions and behaviors
  • Reviews nursing plan of care for all patients within a unit and ensures that treatments and therapies specified in the plans are carried out


**Requirements**
To be considered for this role, you must possess a valid Louisiana license or temporary permit to practice professional nursing, plus three years of professional nursing experience. A baccalaureate degree in nursing will substitute for one year of the required experience. A master's degree in nursing or public health will substitute for one year of the required experience. Specialized degrees less than a doctorate will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience. A doctorate in nursing or public health will substitute for two years of the required experience.
