The Advanced Practice Provider in Cardiac Critical Care is responsible for managing critically ill cardiovascular patients who require intensive care services. This role involves close collaboration with Cardiovascular Intensivists and attending physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive care management for patients until their discharge.
- Supporting technical procedures and patient care protocols.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and adjust care plans that prioritize high-quality and cost-effective patient care.
- Identifying and addressing discharge planning needs to facilitate a smooth transition for patients.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with acute care training.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience.
- Current Maryland Registered Nurse License, NCCPA Certification (for PAs), Maryland CDS License, DEA License, and BLS/ACLS Certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Active AANC or AANP Certification (for NPs).
