Job Summary

As a Radiation Therapist at Anchorage Radiation Therapy, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and delivering radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologists. This position requires a strong understanding of radiation therapy techniques and treatments, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient use
  • Identify patients using four identifiers prior to treatment
  • Review and interpret patient charts and treatment plans
  • Verify radiation prescriptions and treatment plans
  • Set up immobilization devices and position patients for treatment
  • Monitor patients during treatment and take necessary actions
  • Record treatment data and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy
  • Current BLS certification
  • Compliance with annual mandatory education and immunization requirements
  • At least one year of radiation therapy experience in a clinical setting
