Job Title: Head of Equity and Quantitative Investment Strategies Structuring

As a key member of the Global Structured Equity Derivatives (SED) and HBUS Equities Leadership team, this role plays a critical role in the running of the HBUS SED business and implementation of its strategy. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with peers across the HBUS MSS Front Office, COO, and Support Function community, as well as with the Global Head of Equity Structuring, Global Head of QIS Structuring, and Global MSS COO/Support Functions.

Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Execution / Business Performance Management:
    • Engage with stakeholders across SED and Support Functions at regional and local levels to translate SED's strategy into effective execution and implementation plans, delivering growth and cost efficiency.
    • Identify and execute on opportunities to drive revenue growth, resulting in sustainable business and achievement of revenue targets.
    • Provide constructive challenge to existing practices/proposed initiatives and generate new and innovative solutions to address complex issues.
  • Platform Development:
    • Collaborate with the Global Head of Equity Structuring to set the strategic direction for our front-to-back infrastructure, including the development of:
      • Digitalization/automation projects aimed at streamlining the business.
      • The functionality and scope of existing QIS infrastructure.
      • Reporting and analytics for business insight and support.
      • The data architecture for the QIS business and the onboarding of new data providers.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience of operating within an executive leadership role, with the ability to evidence tangible outcomes in revenue growth, cost reduction, and platform development.
  • Extensive experience with Financial Markets and SED/QIS products, including client and vendor business models.
  • Deep knowledge of regulation and accounting, including upcoming changes which impact the industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to set and communicate clear strategic direction.
  • Ability to multi-task and to work well under pressure, strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
