Job Overview

Kaskaid Hospitality is seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our team in a fast-paced steak house environment. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi dishes while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare all food items, following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits.
  • Prep and Presentation: Prep assigned items according to the Prep Lists and par levels set by the Head Sushi Chef, ensuring proper measurements and assembly of ingredients.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces, and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Maintain assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition, handle food in a manner consistent with local health department guidelines, and follow proper food handling techniques.
  • Continuous Improvement: Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned, and follow all designated uniform, grooming, safety, and sanitation rules and regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of high-volume sushi restaurant experience.
  • Language: Able to read and understand the English language.
  • Certifications: ServSafe Certified is a plus.
  • Skills: Basic mathematical skills for measurements, ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures, excellent interpersonal relations and communicative skills, auditory and visual skills, knowledge of the Company's food & beverage specifications, and organizational skills.
