We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Batch Plant Operator to join our team at Millstone Weber LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our batch plant machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Batch Plant Machinery: Ensure the correct amount and sizes of aggregates and proportions of cement, additives, and water required for concrete are added.
- Quality Control: Participate in making sure the quality and quantity of raw materials meet established standards.
- Process Improvement: Follow procedures set in place to correct any deficiencies in plant operation and work towards improving the assigned plant and surrounding area.
- Customer Service: Interact with sales team and customer service to ensure product meets specifications.
- Performance Metrics: Ensure assigned established performance indicators are met.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform on-going minor maintenance and visual evaluations of plant and equipment, and conduct preventative maintenance and repair of equipment as required.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow established procedures to ensure that the plant for which you are responsible is in compliance with state, federal, and local regulations and requirements, and ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
- Safety Mindset: Must be safety-minded, team-oriented, and customer-focused.
- Technical Skills: Detail and technically oriented individual with excellent time management skills, good planning skills, and ability to multi-task.
- Physical Demands: Able to work in extreme all-weather conditions, uneven surfaces, and safety-sensitive work environment, with constant physical effort, including standing, for a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day.
