Salary: $17.85 per hour (Dependent on Experience) / Additional Differentials Available
Sign-On Bonus: $500.00 available upon hiring.
Pay Differentials: Additional compensation may be available based on program qualifications, shift requirements, testing, or verification.
Language Proficiency: Bilingual Spanish ($1.00 per hour) and Bimodal Bilingualism in ASL ($2.00 per hour).
Shift Differentials: Overnight/Graveyard shifts ($1.00 per hour).

Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Peer Support Counselor, you will provide direct care and supervision to adults aged 18 and older in a supportive living environment, under the guidance of the Program Supervisor.
Your essential duties will include:
- Mentoring and supporting the social, behavioral, educational, and vocational development of adults.
- Engaging actively with clients to establish a positive rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Assisting clients in acquiring skills to enhance their independence.
Applicants must be comfortable working in an environment with active adult clients, both verbally and physically. A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required, along with relevant experience or training equivalency.
Employment ConditionsThis role may involve working across various agency programs as needed, with potential for a flexible schedule to accommodate individual client needs.
Required CertificationsCandidates must possess a valid CA Driver's License, current auto insurance, and a clean DMV printout. A background check will be conducted for selected candidates. CPR and First Aid certification, along with a TB test and physical examination, are required at the time of employment.
