Job Description

Overview

Veterans Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Specialist to join our team at Independence Hall. As a key member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing client-centered care and recovery-oriented treatment to individuals struggling with substance abuse.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement substance abuse treatment plans in collaboration with patients and treatment teams.
  • Provide guidance, support, and resources to patients, including internal and external referrals for services.
  • Oversee patient activities to ensure compliance with program schedules, standards, and policies.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational client groups and activities.
  • Provide crisis intervention and follow established procedures in emergency situations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records and program-specific forms.
  • Complete individually assigned program-specific duties and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Associates degree, LADCII, or LADC Assistant highly preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience or education in substance abuse treatment and mental health disorders required.
  • Yoga instruction, art therapy, or meditation training is strongly preferred.
  • MAP, Narcan, or CPI training and certifications are strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a CORI/Background records check.
  • Must be willing to submit to and successfully pass a drug test.
  • Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.

What We Offer

Competitive hourly rate starting at $20.00 per hour, with shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends.

Part-time weekend shifts available.
