The Manufacturing Process Specialist collaborates with the Operations Manager and the production team to meet established production goals concerning quality, quantity, and delivery, in alignment with Nexans standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the production team, supporting the Operations Manager in achieving targets related to quantity, quality, cost, and time.
- Provide technical assistance to operators.
- Facilitate daily routines with the shop floor team (SQDCE routines).
- Oversee production and assess team performance, escalating challenges to management as needed.
- Assist the Operations Manager in planning and monitoring production status.
- Regularly propose and formalize improvement initiatives within the scope of manufacturing performance, including productivity, waste reduction, and on-time delivery.
- Ensure product manufacturing adheres to established operating procedures.
- Define process parameters for all operations and oversee the approval of new products/materials.
- Train team members on their respective workstations.
- Significantly contribute to flow management and performance by coordinating problem resolution and addressing quality issues.
- Develop HSE safety standards (risk assessments and corresponding corrective actions).
- Manage quality (resolving external claims using the 8D approach and handling internal non-conformities).
- Act as the point of reference for final testing and laboratory operations.
- Support the administrative management of the sector (SAP management, work preparation, raw material reception, finished goods shipment).
- Ensure follow-up on first-level maintenance performed by team members and coordinate and prioritize interventions.
- Report any malfunctions requiring managerial attention.
- Manage purchasing and supplier relations.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience. Experience: 5 years or equivalent. Technical Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of processes, products, and machinery in the sector.
- General knowledge of production planning and monitoring.
- Familiarity with industry standards.
- Understanding of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
- Ability to deploy and monitor performance indicators.
- Proficiency in digital tools (SAP, ERP, MS Office, etc.).
Soft Skills:
Team leadership, collaboration, initiative, foresight, proactivity, customer orientation, and teaching ability.
