Position Overview
Our client, a financial institution, is seeking a Senior Auditor to join their team in the Waukesha, WI area. This role offers a competitive salary of up to $80K along with a comprehensive benefits package. Please note that this position is not remote.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Auditor, your primary duties will include:

  • Leading audit engagements, assessing compliance with laws and regulations, and verifying financial documentation.
  • Conducting walkthroughs with internal stakeholders to document processes, identify controls, and develop testing plans.
  • Performing detailed data analyses and root cause investigations of audit findings.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports to communicate audit results to management, supplemented with actionable recommendations.
  • Creating workpapers and audit materials that adhere to professional standards.
  • Reviewing the work of junior associates and providing guidance as needed.
  • Acting as a resource for the Internal Audit Department and assisting with external audits.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development and maintaining relevant certifications.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • A minimum of three years of audit experience or relevant financial institution experience.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CFE are advantageous.
  • Proven experience with internal audit processes, including risk assessments and best practices.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel; familiarity with data analysis tools and auditing software is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A solid understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
