Embark on your nursing career in OU Health's trauma line within our Ortho Trauma unit, with the potential to transition to the Trauma ICU after completing the RN Residency year. You will gain confidence as a nurse by collaborating with the care team and participating in the same educational opportunities provided to Trauma ICU nurses. This is a remarkable opportunity to experience all facets of trauma nursing care and develop professionally with OU Health.

Less than one (1) year of experience is preferred for this role. If you possess more than one (1) year of RN experience, please explore positions titled "Experienced RN" to initiate the application process.

The OU Medicine Nurse Residency Program equips graduate nurses with resources and enriching experiences that will serve as a robust foundation for a successful nursing career. OU Medicine nurse residents receive mentorship and support from a primary preceptor and clinical education specialist to effectively transition from student to professional practice. The program features ongoing structured learning opportunities for residents, a strong social support network, mentoring, and preparation for national certification in their chosen specialty area. Candidates must hold a current RN license or compact RN license to practice in Oklahoma prior to commencing the program and have less than one year of RN clinical experience to qualify for enrollment in our Nurse Residency Program.
