Job Title: Engineering Lab Manager

FNA Group is a leading manufacturer of consumer and industrial pressure washers and other outdoor power equipment. We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lab Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Engineering Lab Manager will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of test strategies, managing test lab operations, and ensuring the quality and safety of our products. This role requires strong technical engineering knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement test strategies to ensure product safety and quality
  • Manage test lab operations, including resource allocation and scheduling
  • Lead a team of local technicians and ensure they have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties
  • Establish and maintain a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the test lab
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, quality business groups, and other functional leaders to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives
Requirements:
  • 10 years of engineering experience, with 4 years of management experience
  • Experience working with common R&D test engineering hardware and software
  • Strong ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated team building and leadership skills
  • Solid understanding of engineering technical issues and financial, sales, and marketing as related to product design and development
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of standard electronics lab tools, including NI DAQ, LabView, and oscilloscopes
  • Proven ability to apply scientific root cause problem-solving techniques and hands-on debugging skills
  • Familiarity with testing battery-based products and electrical/electronic systems
Education/Certification:
  • AAS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
