Job Overview

American Family Care (AFC) is a leading primary and urgent care provider in the US, offering services seven days a week on a walk-in basis.

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at AFC Omaha. As an APP, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and exceptional patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough health histories, review patient records, and develop comprehensive medical assessments to inform treatment decisions.
  • Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and implement therapy or referrals as needed.
  • Provide emergency measures and stabilization in critical situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions.
  • Analyze patient data to determine patient status, management, and treatment.
  • Offer guidance and education to patients, families, and significant others regarding healthcare and wellness.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills with staff, patients, and families.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certification (2 years ER/UC experience preferred).
  • Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in Nebraska, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate.
  • Able to multitask and work independently.

Benefits and Salary

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including paid time off, health insurance, dental insurance, retirement benefit, and CME stipend.
