Job Description

This Case Management Supervisor will oversee a team of three case managers, providing direct services to applicants, students, and alumni. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in case management, with prior staff and program management experience. A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited university or college, and a LMSW or LCSW-C license, are also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Management:
    • Recruit, supervise, support, and retain case management staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
    • Develop and continuously update training materials to support team growth and performance.
    • Set measurable performance standards and provide regular coaching and feedback to staff.
  • Case Management Oversight:
    • Lead by example, modeling compassionate, innovative, and responsive supportive services.
    • Oversee the delivery of supportive services, including referrals to housing, education, healthcare, and counseling resources.
    • Guide case managers in helping participants achieve long-term goals through Individual Service Plans (ISP).
    • Ensure accurate documentation, eligibility compliance, and grant-related reporting.
    • Establish and implement clinical protocols and policies.
  • Pre-Enrollment Services:
    • Design and implement pre-enrollment services to help accepted participants address long-term goals, such as driver's license attainment, before program enrollment.
    • Collaborate with case managers to ensure participants are well-prepared for program and employment success.
    • Lead efforts to expand and enhance pre-enrollment services through continuous improvement.
  • Alumni Services:
    • Oversee alumni services to ensure high-quality support for graduates during the two-year post-graduation period.
    • Oversee alumni communication, workshops, and partnerships with external organizations to enhance career opportunities.
    • Monitor alumni milestones and ensure accurate tracking of outcomes such as wage progression.
    • Lead efforts to expand and enhance alumni services through continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • At least four (4) years of progressively increasing responsibility in case management.
  • Prior staff and program management experience.
  • MSW Degree from an accredited University or College and LMSW or LCSW-C license approved by National Association of Social Workers (NASW), or appropriate equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in workforce development preferred.
  • Experience building deep relationships, providing coaching services, and/or serving as a mentor.
  • Experience working in and creating diverse, equitable, and inclusive environments.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, interpersonal relations skills, and writing skills.
  • Strong computer and notetaking skills, including proficiency with database tracking and Google Workspace applications (Docs, Sheets, etc.).
  • Exceptional personal responsibility for meeting goals and a track record of success.
  • Ability to recognize problems, develop innovative solutions and implement them.
  • Ability to adhere to a strict guideline of keeping and maintaining confidential information.
  • Ability to prepare and submit accurate and reliable reports.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective counseling relationships with program participants.
  • Access to reliable personal transportation for use meeting graduates offsite and transporting graduates to appointments.
  • Able to build deep supporting relationships with program graduates from historically marginalized communities.

  • Interest in and ability to advocate for clients; ability to 'walk alongside' participants through challenges, setbacks, and mistakes.
