Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer II to join our team at Albany International. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining quality evaluation and control systems, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing functions, and ensuring quality standards are in place.

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace industry. They should possess a strong understanding of APQP, FAI, and other advanced quality tools, as well as geometric design and tolerance (GD&T) and statistical quality control. The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate others in group situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain quality evaluation and control systems
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions
  • Ensure quality standards are in place
  • Investigate quality problems and develop solutions
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in designated Engineering or related field
  • 2-5+ years experience in manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in APQP, FAI, and other advanced quality tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GD&T and statistical quality control
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
