Job Title: Flight Paramedic

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Paramedic to join our team of medical professionals. As a Flight Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing advanced life support care to patients in a variety of settings, including emergency medical services, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities:

* Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care to patients, including airway management, cardiac arrest management, and trauma care.
* Conduct daily base checks, including narcotic counts, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft.
* Maintain thorough patient care documentation, including electronic patient care records, to ensure accurate and timely communication with healthcare providers.
* Participate in ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences to maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills.
* Maintain documentation of required licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual.
* Knowledgeable in the use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
* Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
* Function as a medical flight member, attending pre-mission briefings and mission debriefing, and completing necessary documentation.
* Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot assistance when needed.
* Comply with safety standards to ensure the safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment prior to liftoff.
* Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
* Responsible for filling open or vacant shifts within assigned area as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director.

Requirements:

* Minimum of three (3) years' experience in an ALS or critical care setting required.
* Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area required.
* BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status.
* Will be required to obtain trauma certification within 12 months of hire.
* Advanced Certification (FP-C) preferred, required within 24 months from date of hire.
* Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
* NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.
