About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Advocacy Specialist to join our team at ROCS Grad Staffing. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in advancing patient advocacy goals and supporting the development of effective advocacy strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities to advance patient advocacy objectives and develop targeted initiatives to drive progress.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive state and patient advocacy priorities, working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and success.
  • Research, create, and disseminate valuable patient advocacy resources, including policy briefs, fact sheets, and educational materials.
  • Support state advocacy initiatives, grasstops efforts, and committee activities, ensuring seamless coordination and effective communication.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with patient advocacy organizations, fostering partnerships that drive collective impact.
  • Assist with policy-related initiatives, advocacy events, and stakeholder engagement, providing expert support and guidance as needed.
  • Monitor legislative developments and engage in advocacy activities, staying abreast of relevant policy changes and emerging trends.
  • Collaborate with state medical societies and sub-specialty organizations to advance shared advocacy goals and promote coordinated action.
  • Develop written materials on legislative issues, presenting complex information in clear, concise, and accessible formats.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as public health, healthcare administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in patient advocacy, with a proven track record of success in driving meaningful change.
  • Excellent project management, event planning, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong research and analysis skills, with the ability to conduct thorough policy research, analyze data, and present findings in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to build relationships, work collaboratively, and navigate complex systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects the current market conditions and takes into account the level of expertise and responsibility required for this position.
