About the Role

Sandalwood Dental Care is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality dental services.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience throughout their dental journey.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide personalized care.
  • Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments using advanced technology.
  • Provide expert chairside assistance to dentists during various procedures, adhering to state dental practice acts.
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record-keeping, ensuring accurate and efficient management of patient information.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, ordering and expediting supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office workflow.

Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
  • If required by state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
