Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the preparation and analysis of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP and other regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the revenue team and manage revenue reporting, ensuring compliance with ASC 606.
  • Assist in weekly cash flow reporting and other key performance indicators as required.
  • Collaborate with the Controller on accounting and reporting for investment activities.
  • Manage revenue-related monthly and quarterly closing processes.
  • Help prepare monthly and quarterly reports for lenders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of internal controls and procedures.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to the management team.
  • Assist in coordinating and completing external audits.
  • Enhance financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support the preparation of tax returns and regulatory filings, including quarterly estimates and annual requirements.
  • Provide assistance for special projects, mergers and acquisitions, and financial analysis as needed.
  • Mentor and train a growing accounting team.
  • Support the overall accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Over 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in the SaaS industry or a strong understanding of SaaS business models and revenue recognition.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, ASC 842, and other regulatory standards.
  • Experience in supporting external audits.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and capability to work independently.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
