Key Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation and analysis of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and other regulatory standards.
- Oversee the revenue team and manage revenue reporting, ensuring compliance with ASC 606.
- Assist in weekly cash flow reporting and other key performance indicators as required.
- Collaborate with the Controller on accounting and reporting for investment activities.
- Manage revenue-related monthly and quarterly closing processes.
- Help prepare monthly and quarterly reports for lenders.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of internal controls and procedures.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to the management team.
- Assist in coordinating and completing external audits.
- Enhance financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the preparation of tax returns and regulatory filings, including quarterly estimates and annual requirements.
- Provide assistance for special projects, mergers and acquisitions, and financial analysis as needed.
- Mentor and train a growing accounting team.
- Support the overall accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- Over 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in the SaaS industry or a strong understanding of SaaS business models and revenue recognition.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, ASC 842, and other regulatory standards.
- Experience in supporting external audits.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and capability to work independently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
