Veterans Health Specialist

About the Role
">We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team and perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
In this role, you will review medical records electronically through a web portal and conduct in-person physical exams on each Veteran. Your findings will be documented electronically through the web portal.
Please note that this position does not involve making disability determinations, as those decisions are made by the United States Veterans Administration.
This is an in-person position that involves performing Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day, on average. The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform independent medical assessments on Veterans
- Analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions
- Develop strong time management skills to meet requirements
- Maintain current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner licensure
- Demonstrate proficiency in using computers
