Job Summary:
The Pediatric Care Specialist is an essential role in the total quality client/family coordination of care in a multidisciplinary method under the supervision of the nursing staff and the program coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct client care and assist with activities of daily living that promote the child's independence.
- Encourage engagement in developmentally appropriate activities and collaborate in the planning of a daily schedule.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client care and develop care plans.
- Assist with the implementation of care plans and provide support to clients and families as needed.
Requirements:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic personal computer skills and comfort with learning electronic charting systems.
- Childcare and/or healthcare experience preferred.
- A current negative Tuberculosis test (PPD) is required.
- Current CPR (Basic Life Support) is required.
