We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Technician to join our team at Boyd Company. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of heliarc and spot welding and assembly operations to fabricate our company's products.

• Working from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions, perform the necessary heliarc and spot welding operations to complete assigned tasks.
• Plan, lay out, and perform a variety of heliarc and spot welding operations to ensure the most efficient use of time and materials.
• Makes most determinations necessary for the performance of welding operations, including the number of passes and the adjustment of welding machines needed to ensure that leak test and other customer/company specifications are achieved.
• With some directions, plan the sequence of welding operations so that component parts are welded in proper order.
• Select pre-marked formed pieces available to fabricate welded assemblies to specifications, using aluminum and stainless steel.
• Assemble a variety of products, clamp securely to bench, and perform welding operations to produce tight seams that will pass customer/company inspection.
• Ensure that various subsections are compatible with one another and meet all specifications.
• Visually inspect parts and subassemblies for freedom from defects; suggest appropriate actions to correct defects.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
• Prepare for increased responsibility by receiving training on more advanced welding techniques.

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabrication and assembly operations, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
