Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Daily Living Activities: Provide personal care and support to clients with bathing, grooming, toileting, and nutritional intake.
  • Assist with Ambulation and Transfers: Safely assist clients with walking, transferring, and range of motion exercises.
  • Assist with Incidental Activities: Help clients with shopping, homemaking, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
  • Promote a Safe Environment: Identify and report safety hazards and changes in client condition to the supervisor.
  • Document Client Information: Accurately and thoroughly document client observations and activities.
  • Attend Mandatory Training: Participate in regular in-services and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Age of Majority: Must be of the age of majority in the state.
  • Training or Experience: Must have completed any required training or have 12 months of accumulated experience in a similar job classification or similar life experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Must possess the ability to hear, speak, and write in English, read 10-point or larger type, and effectively handle multiple tasks or functions.
  • Working Conditions: Must be able to constantly travel locally, stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and reach freely, and frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
