Key Responsibilities:
  • Packing Line Procedures: Understand and correctly demonstrate the packing line procedures, including card orientation, jogging, quality verification, and quality checks.
  • Product Assignment: Take direction from Packer Level II for instruction on product assignment, line assignment, and packing pace.
  • Setup and Run Operations: Assist in setting up the packing line, including de-staging the last job and staging the next job, and operate the packing line during the 'Run' operation.
  • Teamwork and Motivation: Demonstrate teamwork and motivation on intensive and easier packing jobs.
  • Product Familiarization: Familiarize yourself with the items being packed.
  • Organizing and Sorting: Organize and sort products according to size, color, or other specifications.
  • Quality Control: Compare color, shape, and texture to sample product to verify conformance to standards, examine and inspect each card for collating pattern, and ensure that none of the cards are mixed up.
  • Labeling and Signing: Label and sign all finished error-free blister card boxes with inspection tags/stamp.
  • Problem Resolution: Present any problems detected to the Packer Level II position or quality control.
  • Line Stop Procedures: Understand the line stop procedures.
  • Packing Line Metrics and Goals: Understand all packing line metrics and goals.
  • Safety Procedures: Correctly use required safety PPE: steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
  • Daily Duties: Complete daily end of shift duties as assigned by the Packer Level II position.
  • Transition and Improvement: Ability to transition as an individual packer without relying on a trainer and show consistent improvement on speed, able to keep up with the line, and shows interest in moving into a Packer Level II position.
