About the Role

USPI is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Select Physicians Surgery Center. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
  • Assist the circulating nurse and surgical team in maintaining asepsis and ensuring the sterility of all supplies and instruments.
  • Participate in the preparation and setup of surgical procedures, including the gathering of necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Assist in the transportation of surgical equipment to cleaning areas and participate in the reprocessing of instrument sets.
  • Interact effectively with patients, staff, and physicians, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Adhere to Standard Universal Precautions, hand hygiene, and personal protective equipment guidelines to ensure a safe environment.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness drills and maintain knowledge of equipment and safety guidelines.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Completion of an appropriate surgical technician program or previous surgical technician experience of at least two years.
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Ear/Nose/Throat procedures is required.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
