Job Responsibilities

As an Electronic Assembly Technician, your duties will include:
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, diagrams, and work orders.
  • FOLLOWING written instructions and manufacturing process instructions, including basic circuit diagrams and charts.
  • Verifying inventory of received parts against work orders.
  • Connecting units to test instruments.
  • Testing functional performance.
  • Assembling electrical systems and installing components, units, and sub-assemblies using tools and soldering equipment.
  • Checking sub-assemblies and assemblies for completeness and correctness of previous operations.
  • Packing finished products for shipment.
  • Inspecting assembles and finished products.
  • Verifying and understanding paperwork throughout the process and at completion.
  • Distributing materials, supplies, and sub-assemblies to designated area.

Other Responsibilities

In addition to the above responsibilities, you may also be required to perform manual soldering to assemble electronic components on printed circuit boards and keep your workspace clean.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and less than one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. You should also possess strong multi-tasking capabilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Additionally, you should be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken form and work effectively in a team environment.

Equipment and Software Knowledge

You will be working with various hand tools, including screwdrivers, electric drills, and pliers. You will also be required to use a soldering machine and interpret and understand instructions on process sheets.
